Firehall Theatre is an intimate, 92-seat theatre in the heart of Niagara Falls. The theatre produces both play and musicals throughout the year, usually from August to June. With ample parking next door and a full online box office system, Firehall Theatre is accessible to everyone.
As the Niagara Region’s only community theatre with a full season of plays and musicals, Firehall Theatre is run entirely by volunteers. From the box office to the sound booth, from stage manager to actor, every aspect of theatre operations is run by people like you: members of the community with a love of theatre arts and a desire to get involved.
Firehall Theatre officially started with the formation of the Niagara Falls Music Theatre Society in 1963. This not-for-profit, charitable corporation began using the current firehouse in 1967 and began producing shows in the building from 1975 to the present. The firehall itself was built almost 100 years ago in 1917. The City of Niagara Falls still owns the building, leasing it to the theatre. This gives Firehall Theatre the unique advantage of occupying both a rehearsal space and a performance space all year long. In this way, we are in the perfect position to offer a full season of live theatre to the public.
