Field School in Local Historical Archaeology | Brock University
Practical experience in historical archaeology field methods, including site survey, excavation, recording, and laboratory procedures. Fieldwork will be complemented by lectures, workshops and a field trip, offering additional instruction on material culture, historic landscapes, and archival sources. The field school will focus on archaeological study of an important Great Lakes shipyard, occupied between 1827 and 1901.
This full credit course starts on July 13 and ends on August 14, 2020, and is open to Brock students, non-Brock students and non-degree seeking students, and members of the public.
Students are required to pay course registration and materials.
