Family History Workshop | St. Catharines Museum

The St. Catharines Museum is offering a one full-day Family History Workshop where participants will gain tools, resources, and knowledge to gather, preserve, and share their personal family histories. Topics include organizing and preserving family photographs and archival material, caring for family heirlooms, and recording family stories through oral histories interviews and written documentation. The workshop will be hands-on, with plenty of opportunity for participation and discussion. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the Museum’s Collections Vaults and learn how the Museum can be a resource in their family history research.

Participants are encouraged to bring a photograph or object they would like to share and learn how best to care for.

Workshop fee is $10 per person, which includes the day of tutorials and a workbook to take home. Participants are asked to bring water, snacks, and lunch.
