Connected | Concert by Sam Marchionda in support of Mental Health

the latest musical project by Sam Marchionda

According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, in any given year, 1 in 5 people in Canada will personally experience a mental health problem or illness.

Having been diagnosed with both depression and anxiety, local professional singer Sam Marchionda takes us on a musical journey that explores themes of disconnection in our everyday lives.  Her second solo-produced performance CONNECTED is inspired by Lost Connections by New York Times Bestselling author Johann Hari, among other sources. It will be an evening of acoustic cover songs by artists such as Jann Arden, U2, Andra Day and many others.

Sam strives to bring awareness to mental illness by sharing personal stories through music and by making meaningful connections. In her extensive research to create this performance, she has found that many of these surprising disconnections exist in our everyday lives and can be reconnected through understanding, compassion and self-improvement. Partial proceeds from this performance will be donated to a Niagara-based community health organization.

Please allow for time to park your vehicle downtown, arrive at the café and purchase a beverage or a snack at the counter. Please note that parking is free in St. Catharines on weekends.
