PANEL DISCUSSION:
INDIGENOUS-SETTLER RELATIONS IN NIAGARA
ALGOMA LOBBY, 1st Floor
The evening begins with a panel discussion on themes addressing Indigenous and Settler relations in Niagara. Carl Beam’s work explores the relations between Western and Indigenous peoples and the tensions that exist in these relationships. Panelists from “The Supporters of Haudenosaunee Right to Hunt” will offer a local perspective. Conversations will consider what Indigenous-Settler tensions exist in our Niagara community and how we can move forward together to build better relationships. By encouraging us to read our experiences through a decolonized lens, the group aims to create space for dialogue.
